When you walk into this lively coffee shop, you feel instantly awakened. The open windows make you feel alive and the friendly faces, welcomed. You’re greeted by whoever is making popsicles, then the barista. The barista is a student at Belhaven, he’s been here since almost six in the morning. The barista had some friends come visit him so he could get through the day. He presents the menu to you and is ready to answer any questions you may have. My question was if a lot of people come here in the morning. Perhaps knowing I attended Belhaven, he answered, “Not a lot of Belhaven people, but many Belhaven (the neighborhood) residents and Millsaps students.”
What they sell
Deep South Pops is known for their amazing popsicles. Their pops are made right in store, and you can even watch them make them. The woman working on the pops said they consider the pops gourmet, “They’re hand made and made almost entirely of locally grown products. You can also get them either completely non-dairy or with dairy like ice cream.” They also have some pastries for sale, and of course coffee. Their coffee, in my opinion, is one of the best in Jackson.
The walls
The look of Deep south is what makes it what it is. It has a rustic but colorful vibe. The walls are all bricks and all the furniture has vibrant orange and teal colors. The coffee shop has black and white photos framed all around the vicinity. They also have some vintage stuff lying around, like their water dispenser, refrigerator, even their trash can. It all blends into the rustic vibe.
Deep south pops is a beautiful coffee shop great for studying, drinking coffee, socializing, and so much more. If you want to start your day off right, try stopping by this cute shop.

I really like that you found a unique place to talk about I thought that was very creative. The photographs and video were a great way to be able to get the vibe of Deep South Pops. I think if some read and watched this they would want to go to Deep South Pops.
